Addresses of any candidate can be of two types and various sub types. The two main types of addresses are

Permanent Address:

A. Permanent address is the legally the address where an applicant is a registered resident with his/ her name and address appearing in government documents like Voter list, ration card, etc…
B. Permanent address can also be defined as an address where the applicant receives official documents and correspondence. Many college students live away from home in a variety of apartments, but use their parent's house as their permanent address so that they don't have to worry about things getting lost in the mail if they move a lot.

Temporary Address: Temporary Address is an address where an applicant is residing currently.

A.The applicant’s temporary address can be an address where he / she is residing with a known person like friend or a relative.
B.The applicant’s temporary address can also be an address where he / she has rented an accommodation or is a paying guest.
C.In some cases the applicant’s temporary address can also be a post office box where he / she has rented a postal box where any correspondence to him are delivered.

Hence we can judge from the above that the most uncertain type of address is the temporary address. An applicant’s temporary address is by its own definition a temporary correspondence location and is not considered to be a reliable piece of information as far as security is concerned. Hence, “Office Forensics” always advices its client to insist for the applicant’s permanent address.

Address Verification of the candidate in India is conducted through a physical visit by trained personnel. Temporary addresses are handled more carefully by our trained personnel so as to determine its degree of authenticity by determining factors like duration of stay, relation of the owner of the said address with the applicant, etc…
Address Checks are also additionally cross confirmed from online directories and databases, where applicable.
